Frame drums - a transcending drum
January 29th, 2008 . by adminI have personally discovered that playing a frame drum, no matter what kind, or from what country, or from what culture, means that you will be embracing and embarking on a journey of music that you’ve previously never been to or even heard before. There’s something magical about these frame drums that transcends all other forms of drum. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I know it’s there. Every time I pick it up, and every time I play I can feel it. Perhaps it is the presence of those who’ve played it in the past, and perhaps it is them who drives the beat.
