Northeast Iowa toursim suffers because of adjoining states
February 29th, 2008 . by adminBeing at the corner of two states such as Minnesota and Wisconsin northeast Iowa tourism suffers when it comes to attracting hunters and fishermen. Although Iowa has a great reputation for pheasant and white tail deer hunting if you want trophy sized fish and game another couple of hours on the road will take you to the big game. Minnesota is known as the best walleye state and Wisconsin is known as the place to get musky. Wisconsin is also known for is large numbers of hunting and fishing lodges with some actually changing sports as the seasons change. Iowa just can’t compete.
