Some interesting comments here. People seem fine with the idea that the Chinese government is protecting their workers with huge government infusion of cash. This allows Chinese companies to sell their steel at below cost because they don’t have to earn a profit. The same people complain about Unions trying to protect their jobs and careers. What’s the point of a government if they don’t try to make sure that American jobs are protected against unfair competition. It’s one thing when jobs are lost because the company is run inefficently (car manufactures, etc..) but we shouldnt allow American jobs to be lost when countries are allowing their industries to compete unfairly.
