Employee Development and Training May Save Jobs
December 12th, 2009 . by adminMy husband may come across as a severe, take-no-prisoners kind of guy. He likes his employees to be a little in awe of his position. On the other hand, what they don’t often realize is that inside that tough interior is a gentle and caring man. I was privileged to witness this with a situation at work last month. Someone had hired two young women for positions that they were not prepared to handle. They seemed reluctant, even resistant to being given pointers on job performance and their foreman was ready to let them go. When my husband learned of the situation, he scheduled employee development and training for their entire department. Others may have been bored, but these girls listened carefully because they did not feel singled out. The improvement has been noticeable, all because of my husband’s big heart.
