Just like school, door closers also have grade levels. Each grade level is designed specifically for a function. This leveling will help the customers know what closers they need for their doors. Generally there are only two grades the grade 1 closer and the grade 2 closers but some companies have grades 3 and 4 for more complex and more specific applications. Grading is in descending order from highest to lowest. Grade 1 closers are made for multiple controls and endure high traffic areas like entrances and exits of most establishments while grade 2 closers are for medium traffic like for offices.
