First think a store or restaurant owner knows is that customer satisfaction is what keeps them in business. Mystery Shopper Programs have been developed to monitor that satisfaction. They just appear to do exactly what other customers do and listen to the comments of the customers around them and report to management.
The other type of program is equally important and less known, theft prevention. This type of program is most popular in retail stores. It allows individuals to wander around with other shoppers and report any methods seen where customers try to shop lift. This program to keep their cashiers honest.
