Sometimes I get nervous around my exmormon friends. I want to be myself, but I don’t want to put them off with any spiritual thoughts I might have. I have found most of them have been very accepting and not negative about my beliefs, but other exmormon friends are hostile towards all religion in general. I hope they know that I love them no matter what and I wouldn’t try to force my beliefs on them. I do wish they would come back, but they can make that decision on their own. If they do come back though, I hope I’ll get to witness it.

I would be curious to see a poll on exmormon individuals and their views on abortion. It would be very interesting to see if just because they are disconnected from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a very conservative church, if they take pro-abortion views just because it’s the opposite of what the church teaches or because they have actually changed their opinion. I can’t see myself changing my views to pro-abortion even if I became an exmormon. Of course, I also know that I would never leave the Church, so that’s not terribly surprising. I will also view abortion as murder.

My sister called me today and asked me to tutor her daughter in geography.  She had lost all patience with her and just could not take it any more.  I can understand this as my Amber will be coming over here 3 afternoons a week after school.  She’s only in the 5th grade, so how hard can it be.  Apparently, she has a “big” test coming up soon that will require her to know all the world capitals and oceans.  I am having my son join in with the tutoring by making up flash cards and drawing me a world map. I am determined to learn to speak another language and decided French will be where I start. I did a google search for learn to speak french and found a program that seems really good but I was wondering if anyone else has tried this Rocket French course and liked it?

I had tea with an old friend last week, and we talked about how things were going for us at work. I listened attentively as she described her amazing job, and I wanted to have the kind of career that she did. If I am able to successfully teach my kids one thing, I would want them to know that jesus christ suffered and died for us so we can live with Him and Heavenly Father. A testimony of Jesus Christ is my greatest wish for them and I hope I can teach them by example. I wonder if I spend enough of my day sharing with them what He has done for me and for them. It would break my heart if they were to go astray because I’ve seen so many of my relatives do just that, only to have miserable lives.
