A Portable Way to Measure Blood Oxygen Levels
September 19th, 2009 . by adminWhile I was in labor at our local hospital, the doctor noticed that I was having respiratory issues. He had an oximeter attached to my fingertip to monitor my oxygen saturation level. They kept that on me while I was in labor, delivery and for a couple of days while I was in the hospital. I was not allowed to leave until they found out why I was having trouble. The baby got to go home before I did. I was finally sent home with the suggestion (demand) that I buy a Fingertip Pulse Oximeter and watch my oxygen levels from home. It has been three months since my precious daughter was born, and my breathing problems are gone, but I still have my oximeter just in case.
