The monastery is newly built, while its church was consecrated in the beginning of May, 2008. It represents a compact complex of a church, a yard, a dining hall in a separate building, and several one-storey residential buildings. One of its valuable possessions are relics of St. Ekaterina that have been brought from Russia and are kept in the monastery’s church itself. The church is a one-nave building that is yet to be painted. For the time being, the monastery is inhabited by a single monk.The monastery is easy to find, as it is located in the very village, while the cross of the church is seen from most parts of Balgarevo.It is one of the Places to go in Bulgaria,don’t miss.
