How to train a puppy at feeding time
May 31st, 2009 . by adminThe feeding bowl occupies a special place in the hearts of many dogs. Some of them are so crazy about food that they growl at people who come too close, because they might perhaps have come to take the food away. If its greatest fear is realized, a dog can let fly. As part of your techniques for learning how to train a puppy, to prevent your dog from growling near the feeding bowl, begin by teaching the young puppy that it is alright if you or some other member of the family takes the bowl away for a short while. Put a few extra biscuits in it or a piece of sausage or cheese and give it back at once. In this way the puppy learns that, when you take its bowl away, something good happens.
