Romantic Garden Wedding Ideas
July 8th, 2008 . by adminThe most important thing to bear in mind when organizing a garden wedding is to keep it simple. A garden wedding can be extremely personal and romantic but subtlety is the key to success. The following garden wedding ideas should help to make those important decisions about your special day.
Try to keep the color scheme under control and create a sophisticated look through simplicity. Using a monochromatic color scheme – that is, different shades of the same color – punctuated with some ivory or white, especially using pastel colors, can be very elegant. Or, if you really want more color you could try to use two that are quite close to each other on the color wheel. This will ensure the colors are still harmonious.
The menu should be kept relatively minimal; it is easy to have a barbeque style grill with everybody’s favorites. Some small cakes, finger foods and plenty of cool drinks should keep most of the guests satisfied.
If there are trees in the garden, strings of lights can be used to great effect hung across the branches. If done well this can really set the place off, and have a practical use too as the sun sets.
