How to Position Your Foot Properly When Doing the Tennis Serve

April 30th, 2010 . by admin

How we position our foot correctly in executing a tennis serve is essential. It’s due to the fact proper foot positioning is important to correctly perform the tennis serve. Without having proper footwork, most of the serve may be disorganized and irregular or out of rhythm. If you’re a right handed player, then your left foot should be behind the baseline, pointed towards the right net post and also the right foot needs to be slightly inches behind the left, parallel to the baseline. If you are a left handed player, just reverse the positioning of the foot. Therefore, if you would like to have an accurate tennis serve, you have to observe correct positioning of the foot.
