Wondering Where I Can Check Criminal Record Online

My children had their friends stay there when they were younger but now that they are adults and have homes of their own, it has been empty for a while now. I have been thinking about renting it out and have interviewed some potential tenants. Now, I am wondering where I can check criminal record online. Since the apartment is attached to our house, I want to make sure that I rent to someone that I can trust. I am hoping to do this on the Internet quickly so I can get the space rented.
