Shopping for a Used Saddle

I’ve discovered that probably the absolute best way to shop for a new saddle is to look for used saddles. I’m not crazy, and it really is a good idea. I personally don’t have the kind of budget that will allow me to buy a brand new saddle, and I think that I’m justly picky about the quality of the work and materials that are used in a saddle. That said, I would much rather have an older, top quality saddle that someone has taken care of and doesn’t need, then throw money away on a brand new, yet cheaper quality saddle.
