The Olympic Fencing Foil
July 25th, 2008 . by adminOlympic fencing is one of only six sports that have been part of the modern Olympic Games since the very beginning. It’s interesting that a fencing foil can be a tool to demonstrate the best that a country can offer.
By its very nature, fencing is a sport of honor and fairness. Only the part of the body that is covered by the fencing jacket is fair game for one’s opponent. Touching any other part of the body with the foil is forbidden.
Fencing is also a good spectator sport if you experience attention deficit, as bouts typically last only 15 seconds, although they can go into a one minute overtime.
