As our young boys and yes even young girls take up an interest in boxing, we as parents must step in and insure their safety.  They are quite anxious to get the gloves on and start hitting the punching bags.  We must be there to supervise the boxing equipment and make sure that everything goes on correctly.  One of the simplest but most important pieces of equipment is the wrist protectors.  When they are wrapped around the wrist correctly, they help to keep the wrist stable.  Children’s young bones are not fully developed. Without much effort, they could twist and break the wrist or hand when the child hits the bag.  Please be careful parents.
