Remote Control: Rugged Enterprise Servers

March 4th, 2009 . by admin

As you are driving down the freeway you may at times see LED signs along the side indicating if a ramp is closed or if an accident has occurred.  These signs are located off the road but still in a dangerous environment as cars go by at a rate sometimes of 65mph.  Rugged servers have made it possible to control these signs from a remote location so that a person does not have to be in harms way.  Much like the traffic lights set up on busy streets, rugged servers who are built to withstand harsh environments also control these.  These are just two examples of how rugged enterprise servers play a part in everyday life.
