Lions, tigers, and bears oh my! My first trip to the zoo this year, I was able to get up close and personal to one of the gorillas. I even have my picture with it, and it looks like I was sitting in it’s lap I was so close. This is one of my favorite personal travel stories as everyone always asks me if this is for real. It was! But, in the photo you can’t see the glass partition. A little bit tricky, but very entertaining to my guest who look through my photo albums. I love going to the zoo to also see the giraffes and the monkeys. Monkeys are fascinating because they at times can act so remarkably similar to humans. Sitting and watching their mannerisms an actions is intriguing. If you and your family haven’t been to the zoo this year I would highly recommend adding this to your list of fun and inexpensive things to do for the summer. Most zoos are open air, but if you by chance have an indoor zoo this is also a great activity to do in the winter.
