We were absolutely blown away by the breathtaking forests that come right up against the coast, full of a variety of wildlife which are part of an ambitious conservation and rehabilitation program. There is also a conservation program to protect a species of the orchids that are native to Costa Rica. The scenery is natural and yet somehow, wild – a feature the Gaia Hotel seems to have incorporated into its design and style where they have managed to blend all the modern amenities you would expect from a tourist-class hotel with a natural ambience that seems to integrate guests into the conservation program as part of your holiday. This was a totally amazing experience and one that both I and my husband would love to repeat sometime.
