We had been very careful with all the bookings we made during our travels and did things like make sure that we booked economy car rental in auckland when we needed a car and stayed in accommodation houses that were at the budget end of the scale. This didn’t mean that we had to slum it at all, in fact we got to drive nice cars and we stayed in nice places, we just made sure we looked hard to find them. We didn’t have a lot of money to go away with and we knew that we had to manage our funds carefully and we certainly did do that but we also had a great time and did the things we wanted to do at the same time.
